Who are infected by COVID-19 in Hong Kong?
For a vaierty of reasons, ranging from differences in exposure to reporting biase,
reported COVID-19 cases would not distriute equally among different age groups and genders.
The age-gender specific incidence rate (per million) is calcualted by dividing the number
of cases in each age-gender group by the population (million) of that age-gender group.
This normalizes the difference in the population size of each age-gender group. This
indicator is useful for showing which age-gender group is at greater risk.
