Interactive chart of the proportion of the recent 14-day COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong

Data source: ECDC and DATA.GOV.HK

How bad is Hong Kong's recent situation compared to other countries?

The proportion of the recent 14-day cases in relation to the total cases can be used as an indicator of how bad (or good) the recent situation of the epidemic. It is calculated simply as follows:
\[{Number\;of\;cases\;in\;the\;recent\;14\;days}\over Total\;number\;of\;cases\] It is a measure of the degree of temporal clustering. A high value of this proportion means that there are more cases occurring in the recent 14 days. It answers the question of "How many cases are there recently?" in a normalised manner.

It can be used as an indicator to compare the current situation among different countries. Countries with recent adjustment in the number of cases might be excluded in the following chart.
